In 20th century America, the form became associated with a variety show in which striptease is the chief attraction.
One of the most known Burlesque queen is Dita von Teese, with a signature of a martini glass in her routine. Being a lingerie model herself, von Teese has appeared in Vanity Fair, Vogue, Elle, and international issues of nearly every fashion magazine. Most recently she has designed a new lingerie range with Wonderbra.
